I have used tips 2 and 3 and have been successful with my blog. I am about to try 3 way links. This is where you create a link from Blog A to Blog B, then Blog B creates a link to Blog C, then Blog C creates the final link back to Blog A. It sounds like a lot of work but I have read that if you create a niche network of friends it can work great. But I agree that one-way links are still the best way to go.

Best bet then Dennis is to use a Feed Reader for RSS feeds from blogs you like, like the Google Reader. On most WP blogs the RSS is found by adding /feed/ to the blog URL - in this case it’s http://top-traffic-tips.com/feed/ DC.

Useful information about obtaining backlinks - having set up a some new sites recently I’ve been carrying out these tasks - but finding sites with do follow is time consuming. I have a question though - should we concentrate on commenting on sites in a similar niche to drive the best backlinks or does google not mind if the referring site is relevant?
