You’re going to be a famous movie star! If you want to succeed on the Internet and build traffic to your site, you can do so by producing your own videos. They don’t have to be music videos or great works of fiction; they can be about anything and everything. Creating videos is very easy, and it is a great way to build web traffic!

To create the video, you will need a web cam, or a video camera that can be connected to your computer so that you can upload the video that you make. You may also need video editing software as well, and there are numerous such programs on the market to choose from. You will need an account at YouTube.com or at Google Videos. You should also post your videos to your own website.

Next, you need to create the video. Put a lot of thought into this. For instance, if you had a website about dogs, you might make a video that shows you clipping a dogs nails, in a way that teaches others how to properly do this. Dog owners will be very interested in such a video. Of course, you will want to use your video editing software to put your website URL on the video as well, so that it is displayed the entire time that the video is running.

Once you have a good video, submit it to the video sites, and get it on your website as well. You can also make videos using software that creates videos of what is going on as you do things on your computer screen. These can be tutorial type videos that teach others how to do certain things, or how to use certain software.

If you don’t want to be a movie star, you don’t have to be. Instead, surf through the video sites and find videos that other people have done, on your topic, and post them on your website or blog. Send out an email to your list and let them know that it is there. Put a line about it with a URL to the video in your signature file – just let people know that you found this great video, and that they can view it on your website.

Internet marketers are finding that people don’t read as much as we would like them to. Therefore, their sales copy and site content isn’t getting the results that they really want – or attracting nearly enough website traffic. But everybody likes to watch videos about topics that interest them. All they have to do is watch and listen – they don’t have to read. Furthermore, most systems today have the capability to view videos in various different formats.

Even if you doubt that you will get good targeted traffic using online videos, at least give it a try. The chances are high that you will be pleasantly surprised at the amazing traffic results and that making or finding videos for your website visitors will become a regular and enjoyable task for you. Just remember – people really do like and enjoy video, and you can use that to its fullest advantage to bring more traffic to your sites & blogs.
