Great point you made Doug. Web 2.0 can get you quick traffic and standard SEO like articles and blog posts aren’t as quick but can be quite long term.

Using both is the smart way to get the best of both.

The dynamics afforded the Business environment through the Internet is amazing. I concur with Joel.
One need to be kept abreast of rapid changes..
Maybe not jump on board immediately.

But don’t quit what is still working.

You’re right, a lot of the “old” SEO tactics no longer work the way they use to, and web2.0 sites are now the big players. However, I still think there is a lot you can do with your site and off-site along with using web 2.0 services. Needs to be a mix of them both.
